Recently I stumbled upon one of what I consider to be one of the greatest resources for web developers on the interweb -- Tutsplus+. I just happened to come across it one day at work, doing a search for a photoshop technique/tutorial. It eventually led me to one of the tutorials posted on PSDtuts, where I immediately became engrossed in the website. Upon further investigation I found sister sites NETtuts and VECTORtuts. More sister sites exist such as AUDIOtuts, FLASHtuts, AEtuts (after effects) and more, but I primarily stick to the previously mentioned three.
Tutsplus has a plethora of knowledge useful to any and all graphic and web designers. The articles and tutorials are always rich with information and well documented. I've learned more from these sites in the last few months than I have in the last year combined. I highly recommend them to any and all web/graphic designers. Not only do the sites contain a wealth of information, they're perfect examples of great web design. The layout and designs are astehtic pleasing while mainting an excellent flow and ease of use.
The sites are powered by the Envato network of sites. Envato covers a broad group of incredibly useful website for web designers, consisting of their Tutsplus+ sites, Marketplace sites, and any other generic sites. Their marketplace sites, such as ThemeForest and GraphicRiver are sites where the purchase of such items as templates, icons, graphics, stockphotos, etc... are made available. Most of which is submitted by a wide variety of talented authors/artists/designers. They also include such websites like FreelanceSwitch, a spot for freelancers to look for work, ask for assistance, or post job opportunities.
I've become very fond of the Envato products, and find the websites they provide to be robust and elegant. I've subscribed to many of the tutsplus+ RSS feeds and many of their sites have become part of my daily visits. Though I primarily use them for work related endeavours, I still find them just as useful for enjoyment in my personal time.
