Setting up a NOD32 3.0 Mirror

With ESET's recent release of their AntiVirus system NOD32 v3.0 creating a mirror for network updates has become a mystery. When in the update settings to try and configure the application as a mirror update server you may notice that the mirror tab is missing unlike it's previous 2.7 version.

After several attempts I finally found out how create a mirror with the regular NOD32 3.0 Business client. I've created a short simple little walk through that will hopefully assist those looking to do the same thing.

Notes:

  • This will only work with NOD32 3.0 Business edition clients
  • You must have a valid license with username and password as well as the .lic file

  1. Open the NOD32 control panel by clicking on the icon in your taskbar.
  2. Next open up the advanced setup by pressing F5 or by going to the Tools menu and selecting "Advanced setup..."
  3. In the advanced setup go to the miscellaneous section on the left and select the Licenses option.

Then click on the add button to browse for the .lic file.

You should now see the license in the list window to the right.
  4. Then select the Update section in the left and click on the Setup button.
  5. You should now see the Mirror tab that was missing before. You can select the "Create update mirror" and enter your user name and password to complete the setup.
If you have any other questions I suggest consulting ESET at http://eset.com/.
