Setting up a NOD32 3.0 Mirror

With ESET's recent release of their AntiVirus system NOD32 v3.0 creating a mirror for network updates has become a mystery. When in the update settings to try and configure the application as a mirror update server you may notice that the mirror tab is missing unlike it's previous 2.7 version.

NOD32 Setup.xml file is damaged or missing

I encountered an error (which someone had previously told me about in response to this post) which said "114 setup.xml file is damaged or missing". I looked at the setup.xml file on another machine that had NOD32 installed and recreated the setup.xml file in C:\Program Files\Eset\Install. The contents are as follows:

A while ago I wrote an uninstall script for a version of NOD32 to be used in a domain setting. It may have been 2.7, it may have been 2.5. Either way, the one that I needed recently was for their new ESET “NOD32 Antivirus version 3.0″. This is a batch script that worked for me by using the current Active Directory login script to point to this batch file:
