If you haven't already noticed there is a significant speed increase for loading times for the website. This is due to switching our web hosting from
Dreamhost to
Dathorn.
Mr. Goat is graciously allowing us space under his account to host the website. For now this will be it's permanent location as we have had nothing but great service from Dathorn. If you are having problems viewing the website on other machines try clearing your cache or flushing your DNS (ipconfig /flushdns from command propmt).
Don't let this host swap put to much doubt into the services provided by Dreamhost. I still have my account there where I host at least 4 other domains. For the price, and the amount of space/bandwidth they provide, it's a pretty good deal. Their support is pretty quick to react as well, and I've had nothing but good experiences in the past from them. My 250 GB's of space is still only at 40% full, and that's after several other sites backup automatically to the FTP. So I still plan to use it as a storage account more than anything. The slow loading for database driven sites seemed to be more of a fluke than anything else, I just wish I could've convinced them to solve the problem.
The switch will hopefully provide us with more visitors as we believed the slow load times deterred many people form visiting the site. For the moment this will be TheCleverGeek.com's permanent home until bandwidth becomes an issue. So for now enjoy the new speedy load times, which will be followed by an increasing amount of content.
