TheCleverGeek.com has been going through a lot of changes. It's very much a work in progress and is more in a beta stage than anything else. Because of this there will be portions of the website not working or functioning from time to time, as well as new additions and subtractions.
We're using the Joomla CMS framework, along with modules, extensions, plugins, and bots compatible with the 1.0.x version. Joomla 1.5 RC3 just doesn't have enough extension/module support for me to trust it at this moment, and we will consider upgrading in the future once that support is more readily available and 1.5 moves from beta to final release. So to all you Joomla fanatics, coders, organizers, please feel free to lend a helping hand.
The design will also hopefully get a much needed face lift and I by no means plan to keep this layout permanent. I'm open to suggestions and assistance in the matter.
I'm also looking for help in jump-starting the website. Basically this website lacks content at the moment and thats what we need. But at the same time we need a way to add that content, and to organize it. This means blogging, programming, writing reviews, guides, linking to other content, commenting on items on the site, using the forum, etc... I'll need help not only with creating the content, but in providing a way to create that content, and what kinds of content are available to create by means of extensions, modules, plugins, etc...
For now, use the site to the best of your abilities, and if you have a question don't hesitate to ask. At the moment the forum is more than operational, and I encourage it's use. You can also submit news once you've logged, which will then be reviewed for posting and eventually published.
