Have any of you played the RTS Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots? I've been reading the forum on Star Craft II and realized that in all my gaming days, my favorite RTS that I've come across over the years as been RON. Now it lacks a lot of the online random fun that you get with any Blizzard game, but when it comes down to RTS playing, this is the best of them all. Instead of 3 major upgrade levels this incorporates 8. You go from the stone age into the information age and beyond. There are so many aspects of this game that it puts any other RTS to complete shame in comparison.

i strongly dissagree

Dawn of War is by far the best RTS to date. the only thing that comes close is Company of Heroes, and that is because it takes the engine one step further.

I haven't ever played thrones and patriots but I've played hours and hours of RON (which I guess isn't that impressive since every game ends in like 2 hours of hitting your opponents base with nuke planes).

What does the expansion add?

I have a great deal of RTS games, most of which I've never installed nor played. I'll have to check this one out.
